A brief biography...

I am an applied mathematician by training and my home is in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Delaware. Most of my research focuses on the development and application of mathematical methods to problems arising in the physical sciences. I've worked on problems in the modeling of MEMS and NEMS, microwave heating, electron beam welding, diffusion in polymers, solidification thermomechanics, thermoelastic stability and shock dynamics. But, like most academics, my interests are wide ranging - there are many more cool things out there than one has time to study. If you'd like to look at my publications, or my teaching efforts, check out my webpage at UD here.
